Lovely seating area at the marina to watch the water and boats go by. This is located just next to Dunataffnage castle and chapel. Just a short walk from the castle there are a few benches and walled areas to sit on next to the marina. There does appear to be a dock but we did not see it in use

Very, very, very open and friendly people. They will go the extra mile to help you. From the sailing perspective, bathrooms and showers are very clean and free. Open 24h. The place is not crowded, and the service is always fast and on time. On the downside, there is nothing here in the case of shops, restaurants, or any nightlife. Basically, you will stay your night on the yacht. As it should be on a sailing trip! 😜

Thanks to Skipper Christophe, excellent chef Anna and the other guests, we had a wonderful experience aboard the St Hilda. The whole trip met and exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate to have good weather and were able to explore the small islands of Rum, Eigg, Canna (which was my favourite) and Mull on foot as well as to visit a sparsely populated cove on Skye. Christophe was an excellent host as well as also keeping the boat in good order and making us all feel safe. When the wind was suitable he hoisted the three sails which was uplifting. It stabilised the boat he said. Anna made exceptional mostly-Scottish cuisine from a small galley with great flavours and variety and also snacks and drinks appeared just when we began to feel they’d be welcome. The dishes were all beautifully presented and the portions were good. We saw Red Deer at close range whilst walking, common seals and dolphins who accompanied the boat for some distance. It was a memorable trip. Thank you to the whole team - both at base and onboard.
